The Government of Union Bank has sent a message to all the travel agents across India that they have to work within the stipulated rules and regulations set by the Union Bank. The Union Bank has issued a circular to all the agents that they must work within the guidelines provided by the Union Bank. There are lots of new rules and the agent has to be aware of all these rules. For example, according to this circular the agents working for Union Bank must not work on any tourist visa application form that is available online. They have to take the help of an official or show proof of having the documents mentioned.
There are lots of reasons as to why Union Bank has restricted the entry of tourist visa consultants into their offices. The first and foremost reason is that this form holds all the personal information of the applicant. All the financial data like salary, number of dependents, asset ownership etc are contained in this type of visa form. It is very important for the applicant to fill this form honestly and accurately so as to avoid any inconvenience later on.
The second reason, as cited in the circular is that the chine visa application form cannot be completed online. This is because the details of the applicant’s personal data and the financial details are all contained in the computer database of the Union Bank. Therefore, the application cannot be processed electronically. It is imperative for the applicants to fill the entire visa application form and submit it along with the documents to the concerned bureau.
The third reason as cited in the circular is that the agents from Union Bank cannot issue the visa services or the business visa to the applicant if they are not sure about the family member’s immigration status in China. The decision regarding the visa issue is made on the basis of the person’s relationship with the family member and the country of origin. If the applicant’s relationship with the family member does not warrant the visa, the application will be turned down. However, if the relationship justifies the visa, then the visa will be approved.
The fourth reason as cited in the circular is that the fee charged by the travel agents in Imphal is higher than the fee charged by the consultants in the f visa category. The reason for this is that the Chinese government does not accept overseas E-visa applications unless there is an underlying business transaction. The fees of the consultants are also slightly higher because they have more expertise in the Chinese market. The fee charged by the travel agents in Imphal is moderately higher than the fee charged by the consultants in the f visa category.
The fifth reason as cited in the circular is that the travel agents in Imphal cannot act as a representative of the Chinese Embassy. The decision regarding the issue of the visa lies with the embassy, and the travel agents cannot represent the Chinese government or the embassy. The fees of the consultants who work for the Chinese Amb embassy are higher than the fees of the consultants working for the Thai embassy. The fee of the Chinese visa office workers is also lower than the fee of the consultants working for the Thai embassy.
The sixth reason as cited in the circular is that the information provided by the travel agents in Imphal is incomplete. The information regarding the double entry rule is incomplete as well. The fact that the double entry rule applies to the entire procedure instead of just one step is a critical point.
The seventh reason as cited in the circular is that the fee structure charged by the travel agents in Imphal is higher than the fee structure charged by the consultants in the business tourist single entry and business tourist multiple entry categories. The information regarding the fee structure is also incomplete. The requirement that the tourist must pay for an agent’s assistance in the processing of a Thai visa, including the processing of the associated application for a local visa is not provided in the circular. This requirement is applied when the fee structure of the travel agents in Imphal is higher than the rates charged by the consultants in the business tourist single entry and business tourist multiple entry categories. The information regarding the requirement for fees to be paid by the applicant in the business tourist single entry and business tourist multiple entry categories is also incomplete.
